Reviews
Great place for lunch. We had the halloumi veggie burger, fried chicken salad and a cappuccino. Ingredients were fresh and the serving size was perfect for lunch. Venue is nice and the waitstaff were attentive. Next time will try the breakfast menu.
An overall great breakfast. We arrived in Adelaide and needed somewhere to eat. Found this place and wasn’t disappointed. Food was overall great and so was the coffee.
The high ratings brought us here. The atmosphere & service was great. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t too special. I ordered the egg & swiss cheese sandwich. The bread was dry and stale and the cheese was still cold. I couldn’t even eat the crust & I don’t usually leave stuff on my plate. It only came with one hash brown which was a bit sad :( The iced latte was OK. Cost $24.50 in total which I would’ve rather spent somewhere else.
They offer a good range of breakfast options. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly. We tried the Grilled Haloumi Burger and Egg Benedict. The food was good but it didnt reach the level of being mind-blowing.
My visit to Cafe Bang Bang was prompted by the enticing online pictures and reasonable prices. We ordered the chili egg served with toast and egg haloumi. Initially, we intended to dine indoors, but the indoor seating felt stuffy and uncomfortably warm, so we opted for outdoor seating instead.
The presentation of the chili egg was impressive, but sadly, it lacked seasoning, leaving it somewhat bland. The bread, while tasty, was a bit dry, and there was a noticeable absence of any accompanying sauce for the eggs or butter for the bread. On the other hand, the egg haloumi, although it may have seemed unassuming, surprised us with its better flavor profile compared to the egg dish.
One rude and obnoxious American waiter left me walking away with a bad taste in my mouth and this is in addition to the food I sent back. When I requested the refund this particular waiter was rude and then on top of that did not refund me for the full amount and made one of the other waiters bring the receipt out to me.
Overall, although the food was $$$$ the rest of the staff were lovely, the coffee was delicious and the other 3 meals at our table were well presented and delicious.
I feel like I may have just drew the short straw in the incident.
After my experience I wouldn't recommend.
My order
$7 Avocado (old)
$7 Hash browns
$2 Surcharge (for not ordering sides accompanied by a main dish)
$10 Panini
$12.50 2 coffees
Ok place, went here in the mornings whilst on holiday. The coffee was decent but every time the wait was too long. Asked if I could order through the window was told it would be easier if I ordered inside, about a minute later someone orders through the window and gets served before me. Bit annoying. The service needs to be quicker.
Great looking coffee shop and atmosphere. The coffee was fantastic and meals were very tasty. Prices were on the higher side of things given amount of competition in the area.
Only main gripe was my wife was not able to substitute another item to her meal due to being allergic to avocado. Given its an extra $6 to add Avo and $5 for Mushrooms, the fact that they didn't have to put the avocado on to start with it was a bit much to then charge the extra $5 mushrooms to the already $22 meal.
